On AI

The damage generative AI did to the arts is more complicated than any one law or overreach. A tool was made, and the people deciding either didn't consider its effects or didn't care about them, and not considering them is not caring. At the start you could get a minted copy of a working artist's style without paying them or ever speaking to them. Whether that came from ignorance or malice doesn't concern me; the effect is the same. Something went wrong. People were harmed in ways they didn't have to be, and I haven't seen anyone try to ameliorate it.

I hold myself to the same standard. If someone tells me bypo doesn't account for their accessibility, for a reason I never thought of, that's a fair thing to say, and how I respond matters. I don't believe in a fixed right and wrong. I look at the situation and do the best I can.
