i miss the rain

i miss the rain was the first release under AKOL, but I'd been releasing music for years before it. Most of that music doesn't exist any more, or it's buried in corners of the internet I probably couldn't find again. Eventually I didn't want to be associated with it, because I hadn't made it to be something I wanted to listen to. I'd made it to meet some kind of standard. Once I'd improved, I could hear what I would have done better, and it bothered me that those records stood for me online.

Nothing on i miss the rain tries to reach a standard. I explored, found, refined and released. None of that gives me the discontinuity I used to feel.
